Enhancing Public Awareness and Education on Plant Biodiversity in Kosovo through Collaboration between Plant Gene Banks and Museums

This project focuses on the development of a new, inclusive concept for the Touch & Scent Garden at the Botanical Garden Berlin. The aim is to transform the garden into a space that is accessible to all visitors, especially those with visual impairments and other accessibility needs, while also enhancing its role as an educational and community resource. The work involves five main phases:

1. Review of existing space, archives, and historical documents to understand the current layout and limitations.

2. Research and benchmarking of best practices from similar gardens worldwide, focusing on accessibility and interpretation.

3. Stakeholder engagement through workshops and consultations with staff, NGOs, schools, and visitors to gather diverse perspectives and needs.

4. Development of a final vision and concept for the garden, including educational and sensory elements.

5. Feasibility study and planning for implementation, including funding strategies.
