The Impact of Community Participation in Climate Action/Environmental Protection: How can Albania Develop a conceptual framework for the policy-community Interface

In her research, Deborah focuses on advancing studies on the behavioral dynamics influencing human responses to environmental challenges. She aims to explore how Albania’s policies can effectively meet the needs of local communities in addressing climate change and environmental impacts, ensuring successful implementation of adaptation measures. Her work raises concerns about the inclusivity, effectiveness, and responsiveness of current policies at the local and national level.

Additionally, she seeks to understand how procedural environmental rights can be fulfilled through opportunities for NGO and public participation in UN processes, especially in the UNFCCC. Specifically, Deborah is interested in exploring new opportunities created under the convention that engage diverse stakeholders in climate action, such as the Action for Climate Empowerment forum.
