The German Environmental Award recognises commitment and achievements that make a decisive and exemplary contribution to the protection and preservation of our environment now and in the future. The award, which is endowed with 500,000 euros, is aimed at people whose innovative products and technical process improvements, successful research results or lifetime achievements are characterised by sustainable environmental protection. The prize is awarded annually and can be shared between several prizewinners. The award ceremony (in German language) took place on 29 October 2013 in the “Musik- und Kongresshalle” in Lübeck. On the day before the award ceremony, the symposium “Companies need (species) diversity – On the way to a nature-friendly economy” took place on the occasion of the German Environmental Award 2023. Here you can find more information and the link to the recording (in German language).

The symposium for the German Environmental Award 2023
