This information is temporarily stored in a so-called log file. We have concluded an order processing agreement with rapidmail for this purpose. If we have not yet implemented\/forgotten this at any point, <a href=\"mailto:m.probst@dbu.de\">please let us know<\/a> and we will change it immediately.<strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Furthermore, we offer in many places the possibility to share individual web pages on social media. For this purpose we use the tool <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/heiseonline\/shariff\">shariff from Heiseonline<\/a>. We also use so-called session cookies to recognize that you have already visited individual pages of our website. However, the complete deactivation of cookies may mean that you cannot use all the functions of our website.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-wordpress-dbu-dbu-container\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Website analysis<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The tracking measures listed below and used by us are used on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. f) DS-GVO carried out. With the tracking measures used, we want to ensure a needs-based design and the ongoing optimization of our website. On the other hand, we use the tracking measures to statistically record the use of our website and to evaluate it for the purpose of optimizing our offer for you. Cookies are used for this purpose (see section 4). The information generated by the cookie about website usage is transmitted to our servers and aggregated into pseudonymous usage profiles. The information is used to evaluate the use of the website and to enable us to design our website in line with requirements. The information is not passed on to third parties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In no case will the IP address be associated with other data concerning the user. The IP addresses are anonymized so that an assignment is not possible (IP masking).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This tool offers the following features in detail:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>our implementation is &#8220;Private by design&#8221;, the &#8220;Do not track&#8221; instruction in your browser settings is followed<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>we anonymize your IP address (e.g. 192.168.1.1. becomes 192.168.0.0)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>in addition &#8211; if you have not set the setting in the browser &#8211; you will find the option to object to the storage of a tracking cookie here (opt-out). If you do not find this option here, you may be using an adblocker (ublock&#8230;) &#8211; but in this case nothing will be tracked either.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>we run the analysis ourselves, i.e. no data is stored on third-party servers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-wordpress-dbu-dbu-container\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Data protection: online applications (fellows, MOE fellowship program)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Applications for the doctoral scholarship program<\/strong><a><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All information of a personal nature collected as part of the application for a scholarship will be processed and used solely for the purpose of selecting and supporting scholarship recipients. As part of the selection process, some of your data (name, university degree, name and institution of the supervisor, description of the project) will also be passed on to external reviewers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In case of a grant, your data will be published in the grant database and on the websites of the Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt grant program with your name, the year of the grant, the title of the project and the research unit. Just look at the representation in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dbu.de\/2431.html\">corresponding database <\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the online application, you have the option of viewing the information we have stored about you at any time via the &#8220;Printout&#8221; item. In particular, you can request information about the processing purposes, the category of personal data, the categories of recipients to whom your data has been or will be disclosed, the planned storage period, the existence of a right to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing or objection, the existence of a right of complaint, the origin of your data if it has not been collected by us, as well as the existence of automated decision-making including profiling and, if applicable, meaningful information about its details;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>in accordance with Art. 16 DS-GVO to immediately demand the correction of incorrect or completion of your personal data stored by us;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>pursuant to Art. 17 DS-GVO to request the erasure of your personal data stored by us, unless the processing is necessary for the exercise of the right to freedom of expression and information, for compliance with a legal obligation, for reasons of public interest or for the assertion, exercise or defense of legal claims;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data in accordance with Art. 18 DS-GVO, insofar as the accuracy of the data is disputed by you, the processing is unlawful, but you object to its erasure and we no longer require the data, but you need it for the assertion, exercise or defense of legal claims or you have objected to the processing in accordance with Art. 21 DS-GVO;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>pursuant to Art. 20 DS-GVO to receive your personal data that you have provided to us in a structured, common and machine-readable format or to request the transfer to another controller;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>according to Art. 7 par. 3 DS-GVO to revoke your consent once given to us at any time. In the latter case, you have a general right to object, which will be implemented by us without specifying a particular situation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you wish to exercise your right of revocation or objection, simply send an e-mail to <a href=\"mailto:info@dbu.de\">info@dbu.de.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-wordpress-dbu-dbu-container\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Data security<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Within the website visit, we use the widespread SSL procedure (Secure Socket Layer) in connection with the highest encryption level supported by your browser. As a rule, this is a 256-bit encryption. If your browser does not support 256-bit encryption, we use 128-bit v3 technology instead. You can tell whether an individual page of our website is transmitted in encrypted form by the closed display of the key or lock symbol in the lower status bar of your browser.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We also use appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your data against accidental or intentional manipulation, partial or complete loss, destruction or against unauthorized access by third parties.
