Special funding for Ukraine<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The DBU promotes innovative and solution-oriented projects for the protection of the environment with a special focus on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). In addition to projects in Germany, the DBU funds a limited number of international projects, so far primarily in the countries of Central and (South) Eastern Europe (CEE), including Ukraine. International projects funded by the DBU are primarily located abroad; local partners must be substantially involved. Projects are supported within the framework of eleven funding themes and one open-topic area. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Due to the ongoing war in Ukraine, scientists, entrepreneurs and employees in the service sector are working under particularly difficult conditions. The DBU has been providing support here in a variety of ways for several years, both in the project area and in the CEE Fellowship Program<\/a> with the Ukraine funding initiative<\/a>. The thematic range extends from nature conservation and landscape development to the circular economy in hospitals and water treatment plants and management. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
