Promotion initiative Ukraine<\/h1><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/header>\n\n\n

Scientists in Ukraine are working under extremely difficult conditions. The ongoing war is not only making everyday life more difficult, but is also jeopardizing research, cooperation and the protection of natural and cultural assets. Many research projects are on the brink of collapse – precisely at a time when knowledge and international cooperation are particularly needed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The German Federal Environmental Foundation (DBU) recognizes these challenges and would like to provide targeted support. With the special call for proposals “Ukraine”, the DBU offers Ukrainian researchers the opportunity to continue their work in the field of nature conservation, marine conservation or cultural heritage protection – together with partner institutions in Ukraine and\/or Germany. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Funding is provided for projects with a clear technical focus that make scientifically sound contributions to the protection of valuable environmental and cultural assets. The program is aimed at Ukrainian nationals with a university degree whose main place of residence remains in Ukraine for the duration of the project. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The DBU provides financial support in the form of monthly grants as well as additional funds for material costs and travel. In doing so, it sends out a signal of solidarity – and responsibility. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
