How can I take part in the German Environmental Award ceremony? <\/h4>

The event is only open to selected invited guests. Invitations will be sent out in the course of August. If you have not received an invitation, you are welcome to follow the event in the livestream on our YouTube channel <\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div><\/div> \n\n

The new event ticket is often cheaper than a normal Deutsche Bahn ticket. In individual cases, however, it can also be more expensive. PUBLIC TRANSPORT<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

You can reach the Eurogress Aachen from the main train station<\/strong> with lines 3A <\/strong>and 13A in the direction of Ponttor<\/strong>. You will reach the Eurogress at the 5th stop (Eurogress).The buses run every 7 minutes on weekdays. Carpooling<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Rent a bike in Aachen<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

You can hire bikes from the bike station <\/a>at Aachen main station. E-bikes can also be rented via the Euregio Bike<\/a> app. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

No parking facilities for private vehicles will be provided by us as the organizer. All guests are recommended to use public transportation. If it is only possible to arrive and depart by plane, we are happy to refer you to the possibility of greenhouse gas compensation. All invited guests are welcome. We will remove barriers where possible. When registering for an event, you can indicate whether support is required. In this case, we will contact you individually, discuss your requirements and implement them. Below you will find links to information on barrier-free travel and the event location. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Accommodation – Which accommodation is recommended for the event weekend? <\/h4>

Safety regulations – Are there any special safety regulations for the event? <\/h4>
\n \n\n

Due to the participation of the Federal President, the presentation of the German Environmental Award is an event with an increased security level. For this reason, it is mandatory to request personal data when registering. The data of all guests and all persons participating in the event will be checked by the BKA in advance. Admission to the event will only be granted to registered and verified persons upon presentation of the admission QR code in conjunction with a valid identification document (identity card or passport). Please follow the instructions of the police, security service and DBU staff on site. The personal data collected will be deleted after the event. <\/p>\n\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div><\/div> \n\n

Catering – Is catering offered? <\/h4>
\n \n\n

The award ceremony will be followed by a festive reception with vegetarian and vegan catering. The ingredients will be displayed at the buffet. If you have any questions, please contact the staff. <\/p>\n\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div><\/div> \n\n

Sustainability – What measures are being implemented? <\/h4>
\n \n\n

Based on our ethical convictions, we are committed to preserving the natural foundations of life: For their own sake as well as in responsibility for present and future generations. We want to achieve sustainable impact in practice. Through our work, we provide impetus and act as a multiplier. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For these reasons, we are committed to making the presentation of the German Environmental Award resource-conserving and environmentally friendly by reducing emissions, avoiding waste and using sustainable alternatives. We attach great importance to social justice and the inclusion of all those involved. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Certification with the Blue Angel for events<\/a> is being sought for the 2026 German Environmental Award ceremony in Aachen. To this end, a detailed sustainability concept was agreed with all those involved, which will be implemented during the event. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

All employees involved in the implementation of the event are trained in sustainable practices and criteria. Through transparent communication and continuous improvement, we want to act as a role model for sustainable events and inspire the event industry. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
