The Hungarian Alumni Network of the DBU

In 2008 the Hungarian Alumni Network was established to ensure continuous contact between the current and former fellows and create a network of environmental experts. In addition, the cooperation with other DBU alumni organizations is encouraged.

The alumni take an active part in promoting the scholarship program in Hungary, and helps supporting the candidates with their application. The DBU awards the scholarship in a festive certificate ceremony in Hungary, where the new fellows meet and learn to know more about the members and the alumni network itself. The alumni provides the new grant recipients useful information for studying abroad,  is represented at the introductory seminar and integrates the new fellows in the alumni team.

With the support of the DBU, the Hungarian network organizes national and international seminars, scientific symposia and excursions (e g Danube Workshop 2011) which enhance the exchange of information and experience in environmental research and among the alumni countries.
