This way, DBU has promoted young Czech scientists since 2003.
The German-Czech Future Fund in Prague coordinated the programme in the Czech Republic until 2008. Romana Cermanova has assumed the role of a coordinator in 2009.

In 2008, a Czech Alumni Network was founded. Former scholarship holders advise new applicants in preparing the application documents and the selection interview.
In addition, the network wants to be a communication platform for current and former fellows and external interested parties as well as a docking unit for alumni networks from other countries of the DBU programme.
