• 60 scholarships per year for new doctoral candidates
• Doctorate to be undertaken at a German University (Applications are welcomed from foreign students to study at a German University)
• Length of up to 36 months

International Scholarship Programme

• For further practical qualifications and experience after graduation
• For university graduates from Bulgaria, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Kaliningrad, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and Slovenia.
• Research internships at institutes, private firms, government departments or ministries, non-governmental organisations etc.
• No support for doctoral candidates
• Length of 6 – 12 months
